Here Today (But Who Knows Where Tomorrow)

The world does not need another travel blog to tell you to go to the Uffizi when in Firenze.  Nor does it need lots of pictures of a blogger in different outfits posing in front of city sites.  But what would be cool, we Wanderlust Junkies think – and we hope you agree with us – is a blog that finds gems and shares them with you.  Places not everyone knows about.  Places underneath the skin.  We’re not going to bore you with tedious reviews.  We would rather just whet your appetite to try for yourself.  If you want to know more, contact us and we will tell all.  Go on – we were given feet not roots so check in, batter those suitcases and start your perpetual journey with us.  No baggage; except maybe a bit of Longchamp.  It’s now or never.

Pangkor Laut

HER

We are now on Pangkor Laut. It’s quite a contrast from KL and Penang and is simply Paradise.

Anything I try and write feels like I am working on a brochure selling the resort. It is absolutely magical.

We are staying in stilted cabins in the sea surrounded by lush jungle. You fall asleep listening to the waves.

Mornings are yoga, and you have a choice of a Chinese or Indian teacher. This is how yoga should be practised, watching the water and in the sun.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, canapés, cocktails and wine all ensure we are going to have to go on a huge detox once home.

We hear stories of of families of monkeys knocking on the cabin doors, letting themselves in and helping themselves to fruit. No not figments of imagination, the video proved it to be true! Hornbills look like they are in a Disney movie as they come out at cocktail hour.

The spa is divine. I tried a Malay massage and it was bliss.

This is all about Kindles, contemplation and pressing the reset button.
